Cathryn Clark

Cathryn “Cat” Clark originally joined Short North Church as the Director of Communications before its launch in November 2018. Full-time she serves as the Minority Deputy Communications Director for the Ohio House of Representatives.

Cathryn is a Communications and Marketing professional with over a decade of experience in broadcast news and brand launching, including the successful launch of her fiancé’s local mattress store where she served as the CEO. Hailing from Columbus, Cat holds a deep-rooted connection to the city. Originally from North Linden, Cat’s family moved to Knox County Ohio during her high school years. Now, she calls Franklinton home.

On the weekends, she enjoys cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes, attending pop-punk concerts, and spending time with her fiancé Chris and their circle of friends – a group that includes their beloved fur babies. Cat’s favorite place to travel is Las Vegas, and she usually goes twice a year.

Cat is an alumna of Otterbein University and Kappa Phi Omega Sorority. She is an advocate for the hard-of-hearing and deaf community, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the first Deaf Culture Club at Otterbein. Additionally, Cat’s passion extends to urban agriculture, a commitment evident through her ongoing engagement with the Ohio FFA. Within this organization, she not only served as a state officer but also was the first person in Ohio to win the National FFA AgriEntrepreneurship award.

Cathryn holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism with a focus in Media Production and American Sign Language from Otterbein University.
